Colonial Consulting’s Andrew Siwo Joins Panel On “Why Asset Owners are Integrating ESG” at MSCI Institutional Investor Conference
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY, April 14, 2018 – Colonial Consulting, LLC, a leading investment advisor with a core focus on non-profits, is pleased to announce that Investment Director Andrew Siwo will be serving as a panelist at the MSCI Institutional Investor Conference. The conference will be held May 3, 2018 at Condé Nast Venues inside One World Trade Center. The conference explores asset owner investment challenges through the lens of MSCI research and practical cases studies.
Mr. Siwo’s panel is entitled “Why Asset Owners are Integrating ESG.” At the onset of 2018, the environmental, social and governance (ESG) landscape is rapidly evolving with increasingly sophisticated metrics, reporting frameworks, new global policy developments, and changing behavior among the largest institutional investors. With ESG taking a more prominent role in investment strategies, investors are building on this momentum by refining and enhancing their ESG integration strategies across asset classes. At the same time a growing body of research is addressing remaining questions around the link between ESG and financial value. During this session we will invite leading practitioners to discuss the effects of ESG on risk and performance, the role of ESG benchmarks, why many asset owners are repositioning portfolios around ESG issues like climate risk, and how to integrate ESG into active, passive and factor mandates. The panel will be moderated by Laura Nishikawa, Executive Director, ESG Research Director, MSCI. Mr. Siwo will be joined on the panel by Jeremy Baskin, Managing Director, Head of Client Coverage, MSCI, and Herman Bril, Director, United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund.
